At Ruby’s Sweet Shop, customer safety is extremely important to us. Please read the following information carefully before placing your order, particularly if you or the intended recipient has a food allergy or intolerance.

The 14 regulated allergens

Some of the sweets we sell contain, or may have come into contact with, one or more of the following allergens:

Cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, rye, barley and oats)

Crustaceans

Eggs

Fish

Lupin

Milk

Molluscs

Mustard

Tree nuts

Peanuts

Sesame

Soya

Sulphur dioxide & Sulphites.

Ingredients and allergen information are provided for each sweet or product before purchase. Allergens contained within ingredients are highlighted in bold.

For Build Your Own Pick & Mix orders, please check the ingredients and allergen information for every sweet you select. For our ready-made mixes, please check the information shown on the relevant product page.

Handling and cross-contact

Our sweets are stored, handled and packed in an environment where allergens are present. Equipment and packing surfaces are cleaned between orders, but cross-contact may still occur.

Please check the ingredients and supplier “may contain” statements for every sweet you choose. If you have a food allergy, contact us at hello@rubyssweetshop.co.uk before ordering so we can discuss your requirements. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free order.

Vegan and Vegetarian

Products described as vegan or vegetarian are identified using information provided by the manufacturer or supplier. A vegan label does not necessarily mean that a product is suitable for someone with an allergy to milk, eggs or other animal-derived ingredients, as cross-contact may still be possible.

Changes to ingredients

Manufacturers and suppliers may change their ingredients, recipes or allergen warnings. We regularly review the information provided to us, but customers should always check the latest information displayed on the product page and supplied with their order before eating the product.
